After a while, she thinks that it is non that funny anymore, and privations to tell her friends that Mattie is not that bad, but then she thinks cutthroat her reputation and would not want to ruin it. therefore, Nancy did not joint anything to Mattie. Another conflict that happened is when Mattie Babcock and Rick Sanders were put up on the couples board for the Senior Ball. A stimulate piece of paper had been added. It scribbled- and clearly a joke. It bore the nominate calling of Rick Sanders and Mattie Babcock.(Page 40). Ever yone was making fun of this, because people theme that it was so funny that Rick was taking Mattie. When Mattie put in prohibit about this she was very clever! Rick thought that it would be funny if he played along.

A few years passed and Mattie went bear out to the couples board and found out that Rick and her names were crossed off. Then, she saw that he was going to the addict with someone else. Mattie was feeling really tedious because she believed everyone. When Mattie found out that everyone was making fun of her she was not the happy and bubbly soul that she was before. She would walk down the halls with her head hung low, not talk, or redden smile. She was a completely di fferent person.
